Dave, as I have said in some other posts, I didn't want to give an impression
that I got ripped off. I didn't. You gave me a good deal on a drive that
had problems. The extent of these problems just wasn't made clear.
I have been working on this drive extensiveley since I just installed Windows
95 3 days ago. I have low levelled it and still can't get it working right.
I used WIN95 Scandisk on it and it ran all through the nigh last night and
this morning when I came in it was finished.
It came back with 12 meg of bad sectors. Like I said, I never flamed you, I
even backed you up on another individuals message. He was complaining about
not receiving merchandise or being able to get ahold of you. I tried to
explain that you were on the road a lot and to be patient.
Anyways, if those are the only drives you have left, the only one that would
suit my needs would be the Conner 850. I would like to give it a try. I
need a drive and it has to be above 500 meg. Windows 95 is having too much
trouble with this Seagate and I need to do something. The first 150 megs of
this Seagate is flawless.
I have TONS of ZIPS and stuff from the internet on it. But when I hit the
middle portion of the disk, it belches on me. Let me know how you would want
to do this, etc. If you have an ounce of trust for me, what I would prefer
would be to try to recover the data from the Seagate and transfer it over to
the Conner. I don't know how we could work that out, etc. You let me know.
I'll give the ole Conner a try! Haven't used any of Conners factory software
yet! lol
