Om a Saturday afternoon in Washington, DC....an aide to Nancy Pelosi visited
the Bishop of the Catholic Church. He told the Cardinal that Nancy Pelosi was
going to attend next day's mass, and he asked if the Cardinal would kindly
point out to the congregation that Speaker Pelosi was present, and say a few
kind words about her that included calling Pelosi a saint.


The Cardinal replied "No. I don't really like the woman, and there are issues
of conflict with the Catholic Church over certain of Pelosi's views."


The aide said "look, I'll write a check for $100,000 donation to your church
right here and now if you'll just tell your congregation you see Pelosi as a
saint."


The Cardinal thought about it a bit and said; "Well...we can use the money,
and the bank may still be open. so I'll think about it and see what I can do."

The aide wrote the check, shook the Cardinal's hand and left. The Cardinal
called the church's bank to see how late they would be open, and was told they
were open till 3:pm on Saturday. As it was almost 2:pm, the Cardinal hurried
to the bank and deposited the check.


The next morning, Sunday, as promised Nancy Pelosi walked into the church just
before mass began, and sat forward in the pews, to the left of center.


After the mass was over and the Cardinal stepped up to the pulpit to begin his
sermon, he kept his promise and pointed out to the crowded church the presence
of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.


He then went on to say; "While Speaker Pelosi's presence here is probably an
honor to some, the woman is not numbered among my own favorite personages.
Some of her most egregious views are contrary to the tenets ofthe Church, and
she tends to flipflop on many other issues. Nancy Pelosi is a petty, self-
absorbed hypocrite, a thumb-sucker, and a nitwit. Nancy Pelosi is also a
serial liar,a cheat, and a thief. I must say that Nancy Pelosi is the worst
example of a Catholic I've ever personally witnessed. She married for money,
and is using her wealth to lie to the American People. She also has a
reputation for shirking her duties both here and in California, and the woman
is simply not to be trusted."


"BUT".....the Cardinal continued...."when compared with president
Obama....she's a saint!"
