When someone starts out with no facts, decides what they wish were true,
looks for facts or pseudo-facts that support that conclusion, and ignores
facts that deny that conclusion, they wind up feeling very comfortable that
they are right.  But it doesn't make them right.  It just makes them cut
off from the world.
