subject: Where qwk tag info stored

I am reviewing again the Maximus manual for future installation at
Planet Maca's to replace Synchronet. Being I have over 400 forums not
including over 1400 NNTP newsgroups I was wondering how can I use the sub
catagories with a wildcard tag option when selecting message bases to download.
In my msdos test machine I tried fidonet.* which failed to select all
of the fidonet.* hiararchy eg: fidonet.muffin
Therefore If I had to massage the users message base tag
file.. where is it stored? I know they get stored somewhere as when I
logout and relogin.... they are still the same ones I tagged.
Also for qwk nets.... Is there a QWK to REP and REQ to QWK
converter for Unix/Linux> or a something that allows me to transfer
messages with qwk networked bbs systems?
Lastly, I want to consider interfacing my NNTP server into
Maximus. Both would be running on the same machine running Linux
(Slackware 8.0) Has anyone got ideas on how to do this?
