     Two things to consider. Some scientists think that the life forms near
     ocean vents migrated there. Secondly, its estimated that all the water
     eventually travels through the vents. Thus being more a deterent to 
life.

 DB> make *anything*?  In the story line of the universe Creationism... 
     How do you account for the universe popping into existence?
