On durian, I've had them the best of ways.  110F wandering back streets in 
Thailand.  Iced coconuts which they break open and add a straw, with a
handful of durian in a plastic samwich baggie (so your hands dont stick for
hours after).  Perfectly softly fermented from the heat and so ripe you'd
swear you were sitting hip deep in a well used cesspit while eating the fruit
of the gods.
