You missed the point. Even a clipped bird can get out. However, even the
best animal keepers have unforseen events and I notice no answered the
questions about time out of cage or the dog who was hit and needed
medical attention. The analogy of clipping a dog's leg is invalid.
Clipped feathers grow back. Legs don't.
