subject: one more question

Has anyone noticed that the Web seems to be crawling much more slowly than
usual in the past couple or three days? Yeah, I do have a primitive old
dialup with 56k modem -- we're out in the boonies so they don't have DSL
out this far, and we don't even want to mess with cable (you have to take
the cable TV, too, and we don't want to be spending money for a bunch of
lousy nonsense coming into the tube that we don't want to even bother
with). Has the FBI made the ISPs put those filters in place? I think that
would slow things considerably.

It has been very noticeable, both in making connections to websites and
downloading mail. Things that used to just go zing (even with my primitive
setup) now crawl.

Argh.
