I've been lurking; I'm not back to stir up trouble.  Just to say that I
will be very scarce, probably, for the next month and a half, since our
older daughter Marti is getting married on April 26.  Her name will be
Martha Margaret Meyers -- so we're already calling her "3M" and
"Scotch
Tape."  

So the next weeks are going to be busy at best and positive madness at
worst.  Younger daughter Elizabeth and I are plotting the . . . er, that
is, _planning_ . . . the bridal shower for Marti.  heh. One of the books on
the subject which I checked out from the Middleburg library says that it is
an absolute no-no for either the mother of the bride or the sister thereof
to host the shower.  Pfui, says we.  Yeah, the maid of honor supposedly is
the one to take on the job, but Marti's happens to be in Virginia right now
and won't be down until the week before.

Besides, who cares?  Iconoclast -- it's not just a job, it's an adventure!

We just hope everyone enjoys making sock puppets!
