We had a female Malamute that would lift her leg and scent-mark
like a male dog - wolves do the same: "Frequently, both male and
female wolves will raise a rear leg during marking, and rarely,
some females will lift both rear legs off the ground while
marking, supporting themselves by their front legs only."
