This is always the hardest thing to report.  On Thursday December 12, 1996 @
approximatly 2200 A Mercy Flight Helicopter crashed into a wooded area of 
Yates County * New York.  Those Killed were Paramedic Brain Shaw -> A member 
of Barnard Fire Department, Mercy Flight, Monroe Ambulance, Gates Vollunteer 
Ambulance (all of which he was a Paramedic for), & Lake Shore Fire District 
<-.  He was 29. The piolot 39 Jeff Burton was from Penn Yann and served on 
Mercy Flight, and I think another ambulance service.  They were transporting 
a hunter that had fallen out of a tree and was paralized from the waist down. 
 All 3 were killed.  As far as I know Brian Shaw & Jeff Burton were found in 
their seats, strapped in.  They cause of death was Head Injuries & broken 
neck.
    In memory of Brian Shaw (a friend of mine) I've setup a page on the
