PE> I decided to try out msged on my old Commodore PC/5 PE> (monochrome text card!), and noticed two things: PE> Going Alt-L caused me to not be able to see the current PE> message. Later on I experimented with different colours, PE> but couldn't find something that I liked. PE> Does anyone want to experiment to find the ultimate PE> set of colours that works for both colour and monochrome PE> screens? It would be nice if it were shipped with that. I'm not convinced its actually possible. Particularly when you allow for the result you can get on some laptops/notebooks. Whats normally done is to have the system auto recognise the first start, show the user and absolutely minimal selection of mono/color etc. Telix is the most obvious example of that approach. PE> P.S. BTW, this means that I am now a qualified MSDOS beta tester, PE> at the lowest level in fact (there's nothing lower than a monochrome PE> text card). Fraid so. You are presumably using Hercules. MDA is lower. --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 690/718 711/809 934 @PATH: 711/934 |
