The fancy beers around here are around $8-$10 a six-pack.  The mainstream
beers are almost half that.  A typical price for a 30-pack of Bud Light is
between $18-$20.  

It wasn't that long ago that I was paying only $12-15 for that same 30
pack. Prices of everyday goods has gone through the roof here in the past 6
years.
