Right you are, for this and other reasons, I do not think wind power to be
a dependable source at the moment. While there are few obstructions on the
high plains and care can be taken with plantings, building locations, etc.
no actual tests have been conducted to learn if wind generated power is a
realistic possibility.
The Sun, on the other hand, is a dependable source. There are mountains of
reliable data regarding the number of days and hours of sunlight, monthly,
as well as annual figures are published.
