Nancy, top of the morning to you !

NB>> As I don't have any internet access Up North (no phone, actually), if
 NB>> I'm around, I'm back home.

JP> How can you suffer this ?

It was not being sans phone that I questioned, it was rather
being sans FIDO. One goes with tother. :)

NB> (I do crisis counseling... one needs a break SOMEtimes!)

For sure, I take my hat off to you.
JP> are and renaming ( dating ) .reps.

NB> I got in the habit of doing it this way back when modems were slower,
NB> packets were MUCH larger, and the computer was smaller (both HD and
 NB> memory).

Things have sure changed a LOT in the last 5 years, in regards
to BBSing and FIDO. I first got on using a C=64, upgraded to a
C=128 c/w QWKRR, a gorgeous OLMR. As you said, if you missed one
day, the morrow would be overloaded with messages, time taking to
say the least. The CBM, CBM-128 and GEOS were very, oh, so very
   active then.

 JP> Give me an addy

 NB> Ok, will do. :)

        Nothing so far.

... OK, guys, the *ac is a fine machine.
... Just the users are different.
