   Some posters have said similar things over the years in this ng, in
regard to paternity fraud or a woman lying about her birth control
status.
   One could say that trusting a woman in regard to BC is so dumb as to
qualify as willingly giving up on his control of his own future - but
only if it is assumed that the woman is willing to behave in a
dishonest manner.
   See, several actions must be completed by the woman, entirely on her
own iniative, for a mans future to be ruined.
1. Lie about BC.  2. Decide to bear the child. 3. Demand child support.
   Guys who have sex with a woman who tells them that she is "safe" are
no more asking to be dads than a person is asking to be mugged who
walks thru a bad part of town. Indeed, if the muggers do not act, there
will be no mugging. That is why the cops still chase down people who
act like muggers, regardless of how foolish a person is to be in their
neighborhood.
   We should be clear about one thing, if men could easily decide (way
better than with condoms) whether or not a sexual encounter could make
a pregnancy - such that the pregnancy must be agreed upon in advance -
the birth rate would fall drastically, especially among the unmarried.
