I have versions of Telix through 3.21 (which might be old???). Anyway I see

modem setting *specifically* for the speed 14.4 K in the setup. Would 19.2 K 
be the proper speed setup to maximize the capability of the modem- in the 
hope that the modem would have the internal smarts to negotiate it down?
