So what do you use now to keep birds off your tomatoes?
                                        Thanks for the info!

Subj: R: Birds vs tomatoes!

Janis,

JF>.JF> I'm willing to try it because I have a bird family living above my
JF>JF> plants... Hmmm... How connvenient!
JF>> Look for the positive in this, free fertilizer.
JF> Yeah... free fertilizer made from my own tomatoes! :-@

You wouldn't have to replant the tomatoes

Subj: SQUIRRELS

DP> Hi all!
DP>
DP> I am looking for anything and everything that will keep squirrels out of
my
DP> garden. I've already lost one pepper plant and several leaf lettuce
seedlings
DP> to the little varmint. They tried to do a number on my chives too but,
DP> they're in a pot so I just placed rocks on top of the soil and that's
keeping
DP> them away. But I fear for my pepper and tomato plants. Anyone have any
DP> suggestions?
DP>
  Hi Dot
I have never tried this but recently I heard
that a radio placed near their nesting area will cause them to move.
Maybe the same thing may work in the garden.
 Good luck
  Bud
