And there ya go.  :)   Given the multiple, complex transactions that
take place over many years with regards to socilization, it's as silly
to claim credit for creating a genius for doing no more than giving
birth as it is to assume blame for a monster under the same
circumstances.

And I agree with you that a child is best off with its parents
(assuming, of course, loving parents).
