On 05/02/09, Jeff Snyder quoted Earl Croasmun: Re: Abortion. EC> I understood it, and I understand your refusal to answer. EC> EC> Your decision to delete this part is also interesting: "You live your life EC> and make your choices. They do the same. Free will. In fact it doesn't EC> mean much for another person to do what you think is "right" if they only EC> do it because you FORCED them to do it." Earl, I am really not interested in getting into some kind of tit-for-tat game with you. Now, if I stated that I answered it, it is because I did. It is not my fault if you cannot understand what I have written. But, since you obviously require some additional assistance, let me again direct your attention to the last paragraph in the response in question. In that paragraph I mention the central tenet of the Christian faith. Now, if you know what that is, then you will also understand why we Christians feel both obligated, and motivated, to steer the US Government in a Christian direction. Now, if you still don't get it, even with this help, then you never will. Earl, I deleted nothing. The posting rules of FidoNet dictate that one should keep quoting to a minimum, and only quote that part to which one intends to respond. No one is obligated to respond to every single part of a post if he doesn't want to, or doesn't feel that it is necessary. The American Government forces people to do things every single day because it believes that they are the right thing to do. It is called the rule of law. Does that make it meaningless as well, simply because some people do it, even though they really don't want to? Thus, your reasoning is flawed.
