++> From John Boone to D. Martorana comments
++> on Black & White
Hello John and thanks for writing,
You seem UNwilling to care what I say and ride over my words
as if never said. While I try to talk to you, all I get is
different authors thrown at me ....non of whom can enter our
discussion any better than we. I would repeat this all one more
time and expect "your" answer as I could care less what Frederick
Bastiat thinks of Socialists or the weather!
JB>> ..... Meaning, our views about government, etc involve
JB> "trade-offs." This leads us to conclude government can't
JB> "solve" our problems without cost elsewhere.
*** My repeat ***
DM> John! there is ""cost elsewhere"" and even not so elsewhere,
JB> Not sure what you mean by "cost elsewhere."
I was quoting you above.
JB> I assume the actions of others have effects on others as well
JB> as to themselves. I would like to share with you Fredick
JB> Bastiat's "The Law." There he mentions some -assumptions-
JB> that socialist make:
We are not discussing socialism, just our views on "cost
elsewhere".
*** Please ..Please listen ***
John! there is ""cost elsewhere"" and even not so elsewhere,
whether problems are approached by governments or by OTHER,
or NOT approached at all. There is much that is just the
luck of time & circumstance as to whether some effort will
turn out good for most of us or bad for most of us and even
that depends on the "us" we're talking about at any one time.
That is the simple of it all...... Your logic and quotes from
authors, does not change that!
Do you agree or disagree? ...... in clear uncontrived unquoted
English?
