NA> What sort of generator do you have? I was lucky enough to buy it the day before the hurricane hit our area. Our local Home Depot had just brought out a crate full of them, which ended up selling out in about 5-10 minutes and I picked up one of them. It is a Powermate 5000 watt gas powered unit. Even though it is rated at 5000 watts, it will go much higher than that. I made "suicide cables" using 50 foot extention cords. This involves cutting off the female end and making it a male to male cable. Very important !!cut the main breaker (street power) to the house!!. Plug each of the (4) suicide cables into 2-4 different circuits (backfeeding) the house. Then start the generator. Presto - backfeeding the entire house from the portable generator. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.51* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 19/33 34/999 90/1 116/18 120/331 123/500 128/187 135/364 140/1 SEEN-BY: 218/700 222/2 226/0 160 230/150 240/1120 249/303 250/1 261/38 100 SEEN-BY: 266/404 267/155 280/1027 282/1031 1056 292/907 908 320/119 340/400 SEEN-BY: 393/68 396/45 633/267 280 640/384 712/620 848 770/1 801/161 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
