Actually, I was wrong. The 16 bit DOS version of 4.10 also has a minor bug
with *.msg areas in that when you enter the area, the lastread pointer
seems to point to the wrong message. However, when in the message list mode
 the new messages are listed correctly. In other
versions I have tried (like the 32 bit 4.10) the List Mode showed Zero
messages in the *.msg areas even when there was MANY messages there.

I haven't tried the DOS version of 4.20B, is it on the web site? I may try that soon.
