If I was self-employed, that is close to around the same that I would have
to pay.  It is no wonder there is very little small business these days
around here.

Over here, they hit you in loads of areas so in the end, you are paying the
same amount of tax as you are.  We have so many taxes, I could write a book
on them.  Maryland even taxes the rain - believe it or not.  I have an
extra fee in my property tax for the rain!

At least we have a new governor here in MD that is going to work to get rid
of that one, and hopefully many more.
