Getting FTN to work with WWIV is no easy task. I had all mine setup from
many years ago, but had to find a new method to transfer the WWIVTOSS
output since the days of FrontDoor and InterMail are gone. I had also used
a WWIV utility that would convert the packets to UUEncoded email to email
to my old hub's Internet Rex setup.

Back in the earlier days, I did lots of beta testing and work with the
original author of WWIVTOSS (Craig Dooley / Morgul). Previous to that, I
used WWIVGATE, which I believe Frank Reid still uses to this day. That
program worked, but has many bugs and no development so I switched.

I'm glad I have the source code to WWIVTOSS now in case something needs to
be updated going forward. One of the things I had to update was forcing
the INTL kludge on the output, and there was a mysterious blank space after
the name of the person you would reply to - causing the recipient to not
see the reply when scanning for person replies in echos. That was a tricky
one to find in the first place and then correct.

Imagine my jumping for joy when I got this convoluted setup working with
D'Bridge in less than 15 minutes! Once I figured out where to dump the
packets (inbound/outbound), D'Bridge did everything else with the native
WWIVTOSS packets. I was shocked!
