BK> FDR's failure was not the New Deal, but in going conservative in BK> the middle of the depression, and backing off from the New Deal. BK> The New Deal was working, and FDR was persuaded to cut it back BK> because it might cause inflation, with the end result much of BK> the gains were lost. Going from 25% unemployment to 15% in a BK> couple years was a pretty good improvement. However, it was not BK> enough and he should not have kept things going more to bring it BK> up further before cutting back. Well he was in FACT very UNCONSERVIATIVE. And the FACT that he Stalled the Recovery by an IDIOTIC TAX raise making the TAXES on Income over a specified amount 100% is the perfect example. TAX THE RICH!!! Heard that one lately And as for what he did accidently that worked was ONLY Temporary. Having GOVERMENT do everything is Stupid and has NEVER solved a problem. After the "Project" was over everythiong disappeared and left nothing behind except for a Building, PARK OR WHATEVER for HIM to get his picture takEn in front OF. NO Company, No employes NOTHING. ALL those that were Unemployed before the project were unemployed again. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ Typo Tom strikes agaoin* Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/331 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 226/0 236/150 SEEN-BY: 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 2222/700 2320/100 105 200 2905/0 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 633/260 267 |
