Thanks for answering Ian - at the moment I am doing a lot of 'swotting' as I
have recently made a carreer decision to move from IT software development
and consulting into the hardware side (albeit with some inevetible
crossovers!). I ain't going to go begging to 'venture capitalists' or high
street banks - I am going to start small but implementing my services plan
and I'm going to end up giving the likes of DELL a run for it's money or die
in the effort (well I'm going to die anyway one day so I may as well aim
HIGH!). If I meet right minded talented individuals on the way I will invite
them to share my vision and of course a fair proportion of the spoils! I've
had it with IR35 and the rollercoaster UK IT market with the 'big boys'
trying to play us off against the boys from the indian programming
sweatshops in order to drive down rates even further whilst 'enjoying'
(thanks to that twat Gordon Brown) all the fucking non-perks of a PAYE
employee except without ANY of the security and benefits of the same - it's
all becoming rather too undignified for my tastes!!
Phil
