> Australia Post's Christmas stamp this year is a "contemporary" (I think, > I'm not an art expert either) Madonna & Child; last year's was a more > traditional Madonna & Child. This seems to be a popular theme for AP > Christmas stamps, usually without words, but sometimes with Goodwill > or another message. Both of the Madonna stamps I have seen this year have "Christmas" on them. Neither of the Santa stamps that I have seen do. I would guess there are some people here who celebrate "Santa" with their kids that don't believe in Christmas. They probably don't purchase Madonna stamps. Ours are not reduced rate. I am not sure if they make holiday post card stamps (which are reduced rate) or not.
