In my opinion this borders on a straw man argument. I can "prove" the
*inherent* danger of almost any mechanical object. In the above case I
would suggest some education, mandatory, if necessary, for prospective gun
owners. In California we do have laws against firearms being available to
minors. Doesn't seem to help at all.

I haven't been able to do the research yet, so I'll defer to you on this.
If what you say is true then should we join HCI as well as the NRA? From
what you said above it sounds like they both have the same agenda.
