Physical RAM hasn't been limited to 4G for a while. The Pentium Pro =

Someone at work recently pointed out to me that we are getting awfully =
close
to the 4G (32 bit) architectural limit on RAM, which exists in =
consumer
class Pentium based hardware ... and with the apparent lack of =
interest by
just about anybody in Itanium, no apparent path beyond this is either
  hardware or MS software.

Anybody aware of what Intel and/or MS are planning in this regard? =
Whatever
their plans are, they don't seem to be making much effort to publicize =
them.
Perhaps Intel is still trying to figure out what to do with Itanium.
