From: "Dave Ings"
Someone at work recently pointed out to me that we are getting awfully
close to the 4G (32 bit) architectural limit on RAM, which exists in
consumer class Pentium based hardware ... and with the apparent lack of
interest by just about anybody in Itanium, no apparent path beyond this is
either hardware or MS software.
Anybody aware of what Intel and/or MS are planning in this regard? Whatever
their plans are, they don't seem to be making much effort to publicize
them. Perhaps Intel is still trying to figure out what to do with Itanium.
