BOO!!

Bet you all thought i'd fallen off the planet, well I haven't I've been 
lurking and reading, life caught up with me for a bit, been sick too, 
but now I have a favour to ask for some of those very fast acting 
and ultra magnifcent Bardie good thoughts (tm).

In my State, they have a scheme called Streets Ahead, which 
basically allows people on low incomes (ie me) and those who live 
in Housing Department homes the opportunity to buy their own 
homes, as you all know the house i'm living in atm, is rented and is 
basically a hovel, so I thought that I'd apply for this scheme, after 
all, they could only say no.

So a few weeks ago I sent of the prelim application form, and to my 
suprise and delight, made it past the first step, then I made it past 
the second step, now the second lot of final forms are ready to be 
sent in, I have no financial secrets left anymore, my budget has 
been scrutinised, my savings records poured over and I'm 
confident, I can meet all the criteria.

However a little bit of Bardie good thoughts (tm) never goes astray, 
for that little bit of extra oomph. One of things I never thought I 
would be able to do was own my own home, it just seemed beyond 
me, mainly because of the amount of deposit you have to have 
before anyone will even let you think about borrowing money, on 
what I get, saving $15,000 is a mammoth task, it's taken me 7 
years to save $2000, I can pay off a mortgage, I pay more in rent 
that what a mortgage would cost.

So please good thoughts and prayers if you're that way inclined, so 
that one of my dreams can come true.
