Hi, Brian -- Thanks for the excellent report of your experience.  That's
what its all about, absolutely.
Suggestion:  Write it down in long form with as much detail as you
remember; include frequencies monitored -- both in the "story" and as a
table attachment; get photos of your house, the shelter, and general
area damage; and, send the whole finished package to the ham radio and
scanner magazines.  You might get a nice $upri$e for your efforts.
Don't fret if none of them publish it; you'll still have a great memento
for your kids and grandkids to read someday.
