We have a dual-ring line in our home. (Actually, we have three numbers
on the same line.  1-800 also.)  The second ring is for the fax, and
we don't answer it.  fax will respond to incoming faxes AFTER answering
machine answers.  Some faxes can't handle this, and we get hangups.
