Hi, Janada!
JO> Now you're talking. I love all the Dirty Harry movies, and of course
JO> just about anything Sean Connery is in. I've always been a big James
JO> Bond fan anyway...as long as it was Connery. ;)
I love the Dirty Harry and James Bond flicks.
If the recent applause for Connery is an indicator
when he was on the Oscar Family Portrait segment
of the 98 Oscars, he is still greatly appreciated.
Of course, so is Shirley Temple and she hasn't
made a movie in ages.

CT> level-headed and a fairly good natured person who wants to set
CT> quality of his acting above all else. That's a good thing.
JO> I agree. Maybe he'll be a good role model for kids. And if they like
JO> him that much, they are welcome to him. One thing about him that
JO> probably makes him less appealing to me is that he looks so much like
JO> too many other actors his age. They all remind me of River Phoenix.
JO> Heck, I can't tell most of them apart, they are so similar.
Hmmm! You might have a point there since there does seem to
be some physical similarities. I don't know. Maybe it's
just the look that's in vogue right now as cars have the
rounded style. :-)
CT> Ethan Hawke is still around shooting a movie on Vancouver
CT> Island I think. At least I haven't heard he's left yet, since
CT> he arrived in early February to work on Snow Falling on Cedars.
JO> He kinda reminds me of the others too. I guess they will start to be
JO> weeded out as they mature and *really* have to rely more on acting
JO> ability, rather than the "flavor of the month" look.
I heard he was finishing shooting in and around Seattle.
I guess it's that boyish charm and good looks that seems
to be the 'in' thing. Entertainment Tonight made that
comment not long ago.
CT> Hope you had a good Easter.
JO> Yep, it was pretty nice. But then I got a summer cold around the
JO> first and have gotten even more behind on my mail than usual. I hope
JO> your Easter was a good one too. I hope Canada/Janada Day turns out as
JO> well, since that's my birthday...even though I'm not counting them
JO> anymore, as of last year. I start being "fortyish" this year.
Sorry to hear that you caught a cold/flu.
I had one that lasted 3 days or so where
I sneezed my way through 3 boxes of Kleenex.
It was the shortest flu I had to date,
though I hadn't had one in 2.5 years.
I have a feeling it was the straight
rum to get rid of the tickle in the
throat that did the trick and plenty
of rest too. Someone had suggested
trying this remedy out and I think
it works. :-)
A recent study showed that medicine and
herbs that contained zinc gluconate and
the like reduced the time one was ill
by 50%.
I never liked birthdays since it always
put you in the limelight and I hated that.
You do get presents but you know you
have to return the favor and that's all
part of a game. So I wouldn't worry about
age since that's a mind game too.
Regards from the Nord Country. :-)
