For may years, I have used a few assorted crochet hooks in various sizes to
pull circuit boards.  Pick a size with a hook that will fit in the hole of
the board in question.  I like the rocking approach too but if you want to
pull the board straight out, just use two hooks.   They are strong and hold
firmly.
