I disagree with certain points in Paul's SOT/EOT specification which
have no relevance to "Distinguishing user-entered text", nor can I
guarantee my software will comply with the entire proposal, nor do I see
a particular need for my system to use SOT/EOT aside from making Paul a
happier person.

The sooner it is hard-coded, the sooner I recompile the source to
disable it.
