Hi Vince, >> mount the HD's during distro installation. It's not that expensive, and you only pay for the number of nodes you want to run... I think I mentioned this before as well, when I first started using BBBS, I just ran the free trial nodes until I determined it would do everything I needed... after that I registered 5 nodes IIRC, then eventually bumped it up to 15. It is a great system IMO, including essentially everything you might need. > Also all s/w in my system are available in source so I can pass the code > through vetting s/w to check that it is safe (e.g., no back doors or passing > information to other without my consent etc). Eh.. BBBS is safe :) But I understand what you mean there. > The one issue is for bbbs or for that matter any s/w is, can you select > exactly > where to install it ? You can install BBBS anywhere you like and as many times as you like. I usually have multiple installs here when I need to test something, etc. Take care, Janis --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-3* Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38) SEEN-BY: 15/0 19/36 34/999 90/1 116/18 120/331 123/140 128/2 153/7715 218/700 SEEN-BY: 220/60 222/2 230/150 152 240/1120 250/1 261/38 100 266/404 512 SEEN-BY: 267/155 275/100 280/464 282/1031 1056 291/1 111 320/119 219 340/400 SEEN-BY: 342/13 393/68 396/45 633/267 640/1384 712/132 620 848 770/1 801/161 SEEN-BY: 801/189 2320/100 3634/12 5020/1042 @PATH: 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
