If I had my shouldnas, then shouldna hada did, but God, what cojones I
had when wuzza kid. If I had my maybes, then maybe oughtna said,
wouldna hadda appease, manure up to my head. If I had my druthers,
then druther try again, act more like my brothers and less like such a
pain.

But I *had* my druthers, and druther'd be myself, not just like the
others, all crowded on the shelf. And I *had* my shouldnas and *did*
what shouldna done and din't get no applause while having not much
fun. And as for my maybes, maybe 't is better I din't, cuz these, my
brass testes, I earned from stupid's stint.
