It's early spring here -- really and truly. The forsythia are about to
bloom. The grass is greening. The crocuses have come and mostly gone.
And the first daffodils have bloomed.

I understand that type of surgery is generally pretty successful.

All the choices of losing a parent are painful. I've been there both
ways, too.
