Most people don't look at the big picture as to cost of living and quality
of life.  Even if you get a small 1% raise, when your healthcare costs go
up 45% two years in a row - you are technically making much less.  

My biggest bitch is toilet paper.  I joke with the wife saying soon it will
be cheaper to wipe with dollar bills than buy toilet paper which is
typically $16-$18 these days.
