Can't deny they do seem like spineless jellyfish, just reading whatever the 
Book of the Month club sends.  Flavor of the month.

But if that's what they want to read . . . listen to . . . watch on the 
tube, I suppose that's their privilege.  

Though I can't help but suspect it's just that they don't know any 
better--they never read anything except in school, and the readings offered 
were too high level and complex for them to appreciate as pleasure 
reading.  So now they think it's all like that.
