I believe you've found a bug that's been acknowledged by MR/2's author. I 
seem to remember during installation, a window coming up explaining a problem 
of that nature with some video drivers/cards, and asking if you could see the 
tabs... I never had a reason to select "no" though, so I have no idea what it 
does. :)
