that would depend on the firewall. If you are installing a web server and
the firewall allows port 80 then anything that comes in over port 80
obviously isn't going to be bothered by the firewall.
Also the other thing that bothers me with Microsoft's current patch
procedure is it takes them so damn long to get a service pack out that by
the time it's out you already have 2 or 3 post service pack hotfixes. SP4
is so far behind that it's going to have a half dozen by the time it's
released.
For some reason, Microsoft just can't seem to grasp the concept of a
current distribution.
