DS>Dade County, Fl where I live passed an anti Pit bull ordinance. Anyone
alrea
DS>having a pit could keep it providing they built a special enclosure that
the
DS>dog couldn't get out of, get a million dollar insurance policy and muzzle
the
DS>dog. It was fought and shown that of all the dog bite reports, the
minority
DS>were from pit bulls but the ordinance went thru. Hundreds of dogs were
put t
DS>death and many people that could, moved out of the county with their dogs.
DS>I don't know when people will ever learn it's not the breed, ANY breed or
non
DS>breed can be nasty and any large dog is capable of killing or
aiming..even
DS>little dogs can do some bad damage.
that really stinks. my, pit bull, more properly British Staffordshire
Bull Terrier plays with kittens, kids and small animals of any description.
the dog is always walked off lead. i trust this animal more than most people
i know and he's never let me down. of course he wasn't chained up or struck
or chained to a wall nor fed gunpowder when raised. if scoulded, something
that happens a couple of times a year he slinks away and hides behind a
recliner and won't come out until forgiven. as to your comment that even
small animals can be dangerous, Pinellas County has had an ongoing rabies
problem and an police officer was called out on a cat attacking a horse
call, well the officer was very nearly killed by a house cat so vicious
was its attack. if they pass any of that restrictive legislation around
here you can count on the fact i'll move.
