Unless you mean the now largely obsolete DOS versions? (PKware's PKZIP,
PKUNZIP, et al)? :P  But even that was shareware, just the internal
FORMAT of *.ZIP files was free (but you'd still need to pay,
technically, to open the files!) (unless you're a programmer & can
de-archive ZIP files!) :/
