Oh, I'm blushing that people remember the plots of my novels. :-) (Even if they get the titles mixed up.) Janus Incubus: The story of a gifted young man who wants to be a writer, kills someone in a fit of rage in a bookstore, and then ends up swapping identities in India with the man who saved him from suicide by drowning. He becomes successful as an author after the swap, but has lost his ethical roots, and becomes a real bastard. He finally returns to his old self, but at the moment he does, he is shot by the Montreal police while reaching into his bag to pull out ... a book to sign. Succubus Sea: The story of a man with an American father and Iranian mother who is blocked creatively as a painter. On his father's death, he returns to New York for the funeral, and is hired as an art instructor. He starts a relationship with the daughter of one of his childhood friends from Iran, a young dancer studying dance in New York. The relationship evolves tot he point where Cyrus Drake realizes he must return to the Iran of his childhood to uncover the true reason his mother was found dead on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Abadoun: The story of 13 people on or about the last day in the life of an Iranian-Kurdish village. The protagonist, returning from Baghdad on a mission to go to Teheran to free a political prisoner, must pass through Abadoun on the night before and morning before the noon-attack. As the man walks through the town on his business, he passes people, and each person whose life crosses his is examined in detail. The man must decide to warn the town, and thus save them all but doom himself as a spy, or to go on to rescue the political prisoner, and let them all be gassed. -- Quinn Tyler Jackson --- Rachel's Little NET2FIDO Gate v 0.9.9.8 Alpha* Origin: Rachel's Experimental Echo Gate (1:135/907.17) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 135/907 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
