(Continued from previous message) sundae, well.... -- yet this one club goes out to an area Subway restaurant after the dance...even though snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are at the dance. In square dancing, I'm not standing in one spot for very long, but moving around, so my legs don't get to throw a fit. But, if I stand in one spot for too long, I start shaking like my whole body has Parkinson's Disease. Back to food, I was able to get a conglomeration of items for a casserole, which gives me 2 full meals when I do it. My Mom used to make a similar one years ago, but it had corn in it, and my colon won't tolerate corn anymore...so I had to switch to English Peas, noted below. The ingredients (all microwaveable) are as follows: 1) 2 containers of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. You remove the cheese packet, then fill water up to the fill line (otherwise, the container will catch fire in the microwave oven), put it on a microwave safe plate, microwave it for 3 1/2 minutes, then stir in the cheese packet. I do one packet at a time. 2) 1 container of Minute Man Wild Rice (like rice pilaf). You remove the cover, place it on a microwave safe plate, and microwave it for 1 minute. 3) 1 packet of BirdsEye English Peas. You place the packet on a microwave safe plate (not opening it), microwave it for 5 minutes, and let it sit for 2 minutes. There are a LOT of peas in that packet!! 4) Cut up 4 hot dogs, and microwave them for 2 minutes. 5) Add all of them together, and it's meal time. :) CS>Key things, this is not 'chicken soup' really as too much meat seems to ruin CS>but you can later add fresh meat to a portion and make a true chicken soup i It reminds me of The Far Side Cartoon where this little chicken is in bed, ill. Momma Hen brings the little one a bowl of chicken soup broth, and says "Eat this...it'll be good for you. Besides, it's nobody we know!!". I went to the doctors today, thinking I was going into a relapse of bronchtis...but the sinus drainage is causing huge problems. So, they prescribed some medication with codeine that I'll take before I go to bed at night (it will knock me out), and gave me a steroid shot in the hip -- I just dropped the pants and underwear to make it easier -- yet, nudity means nothing to the medical professionals...it's just another day at work for them. However, I've known people who don't want to go to the doctor, because "they don't want them to see them naked". I can't convince them that "Like it's something they HAVEN'T seen??!!". This is especially if you're a pregnant female in labor...you can forget about all modesty in this situation!! Back to the steroid shot, it didn't hurt going in, but after she removed the needle, my hip was sore for about 15 minutes!! I did get a flu shot in October, and usually get one once a year. The thing is, they can't do a thing about sinus problems, or arthritis. I eventually will need hip, neck, and knee surgery...but, I'm trying to put all of these off as long as possible. I'm afraid that eventually, I'll end up in a wheelchair.
