Howdy! All,

I haven't been active in (m)any echo(es) lately.
I will read some messages here and there, but haven't read all messages
in the .QWK packets I've grabbed.

The truth be known, I'm an information grabber.

Reading ROUNDTUITS are another thing........

Here is something I learned about MultiMail DOS recently.

A Search can be started from MM's opening screen where the list of
.QWK packets is shown.

I've used it to try to find a word or phrase I remember seeing in a
message that I hadn't saved yet, or to find messages in a thread.

Pressing the Slant Sign key [ / ] starts the search process.

I've been selecting Option F for a "Full Text" search.

MM's Search starts looking through the .QWK files and stops when it
find what it is being used to search for.

Pressing the Period key [ . ] continues the search.

Pressing the ESC key ends the search.

I've been using MultiMail DOS and WIN versions for many years but didn't
know it could do that.

I haven't tried Searching in MM WIN but I'm sure the option works there.

I started reading .QWK packets using SLMR but changed to MM because some
messages that I wanted to read in a packet, were longer than 150+ lines
and SLMR couldn't show the rest of the message.

At first I stayed with SLMR because I was use to it, and only Opened MM
to read messages larger than SLMR could handle.

I still ocassionally use SLMR if needed.

I never tried BLUEWAVE but I'm sure it is a Very Good Reader or Nancy
wouldn't be using it. Hi Nancy.

I tried SEMPOINT for a while but stayed confused when using it so went back
to MM.
