I think I may be confused also! I simply hit ALT+W, one backspace, type in
the specific filename, and hit 'ENTER', and it's a done deed.
I use the following in my MSGED.CFG:
confirm yes
outfile C:\MATT\NT\AN
Since I'm on Ver 1.99L, your verbs in the .CFG are probably different.
